December 9, 2014 by Arpit Leave a Comment

Do you want a particular post to always occupy the top position on the front page of your blog ? This type of post in WordPress is called a WordPress sticky post and today we will discuss how to make a post sticky in WordPress.

There may be various reasons for making a post sticky. If you have an introduction post, you may want it to always appear on the front page. Similarly, if you have an important announcement for your readers or if you are running a giveaway, you would want that particular post to stay at the top on your front page. This is where the sticky posts come in handy.

How to make a WordPress sticky post

1) Login to your WP-admin panel and open up the ‘Posts’ section. Click on the Edit option for the post that you want to make sticky so that it can appear at the top of the front page.
