OnePlus is the big thing right now and has recently released its much awaited OnePlus 5T. Its predecessor OnePlus 5 was released in the month of June this year and with just a gap of 4 months OnePlus has unleashed this beast. It resides all the specifications of OnePlus 5, but on top of that has a 6.01-inch full-HD screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio display removing the home button and has also introduced a dual camera setup. It even has a face recognition feature leaving us wondering, why does Apple even exist and why do people bother to spend 1000$ on it? Although OnePlus 5T is very less different from its predecessor, it is worth checking out. With a borderless screen and Aluminum unibody design, OnePlus 5T will leave you in awe. With no Home Button, the fingerprint sensor now is on the back below the rear camera. Coming to the design of the phone, the volume buttons are on the left side with the power button on the opposite side. But the annoying part is that it doesn’t support memory expansion and is not that physically appealing when compared to big shots like Iphone.
When it comes to software and feature, 5T uses Snapdragon 835 SoC with its integrated Adreno 540 GPU, a 3300 mAh battery capacity and the 16 megapixel front camera proving that it is not so different from its predecessor. It has a secondary rear camera with a low light photography sensor is the only other thing that is new about it. It switches from primary to secondary when the light is less than 10 lux. The electronic image stabilization (EIS) overshadows the fact that optical image stabilization (OIS) is not proper. But it can still have fake finish for videos moving too fast. It does introduce the facial recognition feature which being quite fast, fails for low light.
Performance wise, OnePlus 5T is quite smooth. You don’t need to worry about hanging issues or overheating issues. You won’t find any headsets with it, but it has a standard 3.5 mm jack so that’s good news.
In conclusion, OnePlus has some issues but is still worth it because you are getting a little better phone than its predecessor for the same price. And if you’re looking to buy a cheap Iphone and couldn’t care less about the Animoji, then you’ve got yourself a match.
