Review: Audio Technica ATH-SJ33

I was looking for a budget headset recently to listen to music on the go and for basic daily usage. After doing a good amount of research i put the approval stamp on the Audio Technica ATH-SJ33

Audio Technica ATH-SJ33 are portable headphones and won’t burn a hole in your pocket. These SJ33 sound pretty decent. You can experience good bass, good vocals, and pretty good vibes from the music! The sound clarity is exceptional. If you’re looking for deep resonating bass and vocal projection in your headphones, these are for you.

Audio Technica ATH-SJ33 review

The Build quality is pretty good, if not amazing. Audio Technica ATH-SJ33 can take a lot of physical abuse. These portable headphones are designed with swivel housing and one-ear monitoring – each earpiece is designed to turn 90 degrees horizontal and 180 degrees vertical, DJ styling if you like. They are foldable and can be easily be carried in a cramped bag.

Bass offered by Audio Technica ATH-SJ33 is awesome for the price. The bass is punchy but not too boomy which is exactly the way i like. These sound great when plugged into an iPod. For your android devices, you may have to tweak the equalizer. Now, this is just because of the difference in the hardware of the devices. The headphone is just working as designed.

Your ears might complain after prolonged usage and you may feel that the headphone padding could have been better but at this price range you cannot ask for more.

You may want to Burn-in the headphones to enhance the sound output. You can check out our Headphone burn-in guide for more details on how to Burn-in your Audio Technica ATH-SJ33
