Microsoft Will Support Android and iOS Apps in Windows 10

May 4, 2015 by Arpit Leave a Comment

Windows 10 has been touted as Microsoft’s best O.S. ever. It certainly looks very promising and it just got even better after Microsoft announced that Windows 10 will offer cross-platform support.

Now, all your iOS and Android apps can be brought over to Windows 10. The ‘Universal’ operating system will allow developers to port the existing Android and iOS apps into Windows universal apps that will work across devices. All this has been made possible because of the new SDKs (Software Development Kits).

Windows 10 is currently available in beta and this announcement is aimed to encourage people to switch to Windows 10. Microsoft has dominated the desktop environment for quite some time now and bringing the mobile and tablet users into their ecosystem certainly have a lot of benefits.

Microsoft had earlier announced that current Windows users will be upgraded to Windows 10 free of cost. This was very well received all over the world. With Windows 10 designed to work across platforms and giving the freedom to developers to create ‘Universal app’, the future looks bright for Microsoft.
