6th February was the day when Elon Musk’s SpaceX was successful in launching the Falvon Heavy rocket. This Falcon heavy rocket as a playload was caring all new red Tesla Roadster with it. This is the first time when a car is sent into the space and it set a record for the same. This is sent in hope that it will revolve around the bounded orbit of the planet Mars. Not only was the car sent, also a mannequin that is wearing a SpaceX spacesuit on the steering wheel. Dubbed as “Starman”, it is placed in the resting position against the driver side window. Live feed is provided by the company which shows us the live view of Earth. “Life on Mars” is always playing on the background when seeing this live feed. It now heads towards the asteroid belt after passing through the Radiation belt which is named as Van Allen. It will remain in this belt for really a long time.
Various Specialization Tests
Various design and manufacturing testing processes are applied for the car to survive in the space environment. This testing is really important because of all the radiations that are present in the space that can damage the electronic system of the car. A lot of cosmic and galactic radiations a present in the interstellar space that are of large amount in comparison of Earth’s Low Orbit which is already being shielded by the Earth’s magnetic field. These radiations can have two categories of hazardous impact on the electronic system of the car. These impacts are namely charging hazards and Radiation hazards. Let’s explain them in detail:
In this a build up charge could be a result of charging over the surface of the spacecraft or car. This also impacts its interior. A discharge from the surface of the Tesla car can be a result of uncontrollable charge. This will led to malfunctioning and disrupt of electronic system. And other components or other parts of the Tesla car spacecraft.
When radiation comes in contact with any electronic system this kind of hazard takes place which destroys the electronic system. This takes place due to the dynamic environment of the Van Allen belt due to the presence of proton and electron in the surroundings. The tesla roadster will have to face all these type of hazardous phenomenon and this will eventually destroy the car.
