Best Way to Scan Documents With Your Android Device

Very often a need arises to scan a few documents, be it bills or photo identity proofs in order to submit it for reimbursements or for verification purposes. Not everyone has scanners in their homes and it becomes quite a task to hunt for a place where you can have the documents scanned and then email the soft copies.

If you have an Android device, it is very easy to scan your documents. There are a lot of scanner apps for Android that can be used for this purpose. However, the quality of the scan may not always be as per your requirement. Fortunately, there is a better way to scan documents on Android.

The best way to scan documents on Android is with Google Drive. For this, you will need a Google account and you have to download the Google Drive app on your Android phone or tablet.

Once you have the app installed, tap on the “+” and then tap “Scan”. The camera app will be launched and you will be able to take a picture of your document.

Once the picture is taken, Google Drive will automatically crop the image for you. You can fix the image further if you want to. Also, Google Drive automatically scans documents into PDF format, so you can scan multiple documents into the same file.

If you want to adjust setting like paper size, orientation or the image quality, you can do so by tapping on the three dots located at the upper-right corner and select “Settings”.

This method for scanning documents is very easy and works really well. The best part is that all your scanned documents are saved on the cloud so you don’t have to transfer them from one device to another.
