Battery is considered as the ultimate killer of the fossil fuels from the recent few years. Few years are left with this kind of fossil fuel to be in the marketing arena and compete with the battery energies. Earlier the batteries were only used to power your personal devices like watches, remote etc. but with the matter of time and new technologies this battery is provided in everything. From smart phones to the cars, everything works with the help of batteries. It has now become the integral part of one’s life and is proven to be very useful and also successful in making people work efficiently and also saving the sources of energies. Due to all these benefits the carbon burning economy has degraded to such an extent that they got very few time to be in the competition which is almost towards the batteries favor. Batteries work on two different kind of driving force. These driving forces are explained below:
1. Electric Cars
Durable, easy to charge, energy efficient and very much energy dense batteries that is the lithium ion batteries are mostly used in the electric cars that have decline the use of fossil fuel working cars. Continued use of these batteries in this generation will eventually kill the fossil fuels by declining there use day by day. It has been predicted that by the year 2040, all the gasoline running cars will disappear and it will be outsold by the new technology electric cars.
2. Squeezing Gas
Not only gasoline but also it threaten the natural gas and are considered to be able to surpass by the squeezing gas batteries. Many industries abandon the use of natural gas and accepted batteries for many plants. Solar power plants can also now work on the batteries and can be of great benefit. More than 50 Giga Watt of the energy stored by the batteries could be unleashed easily and it provides services to many citizens in that particular need.
The only weak point in here is the cost. Good lithium batteries with a great life back up cost a bit higher than the gasoline provided energy. Prices must be dropped in order to fully compete with other energy sources. This cost difference comes because of its manufacturing cost and the raw material being used. If these points are kept in mind then with the matter of time, batteries will definitely kill the fossil fuels.
