Google Starts Rolling Out Android 5.0.1 Update for Nexus 4

When I woke up this morning, the very first thing that I saw was a notification on my Nexus 4 informing me that Android 5.0.1 update for Nexus 4 is now available to download. This was a pleasant surprise as there was no real news as to when will Google start rolling out Android 5.0.1 update for Nexus 4. It needs to be mentioned that Google had commenced Android 5.0.1 system update roll-out for Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 a day back.

Android 5.0.1 Update for Nexus 4

Android 5.0.1 update for Nexus 4 is about 16.7 MB in size which improves performance, stability and includes bug-fixes. A few Nexus 4 users had reported some performance issues after the Lollipop 5.0 update. I personally did not find any issues on my device after the lollipop update. The performance actually got better and the new material design on Android Lollipop is just fabulous! Hopefully the Android 5.0.1 update for Nexus 4 will take care of the performance issues that a few user’s are facing. The performance of the device post update to Lollipop 5.0.1 looks the same to me, no real difference.

The Build number that is currently being reflected on my Nexus 4 after the update to Android 5.0.1 is LRX22C. I hope that other Nexus 4 users in India and other parts of the world will receive the Android 5.0.1 update soon.
